Canadian singer and celebrity Bryan Adams has stirred a row after he used expletives for those who, in his opinion, are responsible for the COVID-19 outbreak.
In an Instagram post, 68-year-old Bryan lashed out at “bat eating, virus making greedy bastards” for unleashing coronavirus pandemic that has claimed over 3000,000 lives so far. He also asked them to go vegan for their own safety as well as the safety of the world.

“CUTS LIKE A KNIFE. A song by me. Tonight was supposed to be the beginning of a tenancy of gigs at the @royalalberthall, but thanks to some fucking bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards, the whole world is now on hold, not to mention the thousands that have suffered or died from this virus. My message to them other than “thanks a fucking lot” is go vegan. To all the people missing out on our shows, I wish I could be there more than you know. It’s been great hanging out in isolation with my children and family, but I miss my other family, my band, my crew and my fans. Take care of yourselves and hope we can get the show on the road again soon. I’ll be performing a snippet from each album we were supposed to perform for the next few days,” Bryan Adams wrote in his Instagram post.
The post has 294,342 views so far. His post went viral on social media and Bryan Adams was criticised on social media for being “racist”. He responded by saying that he had no excuse but “just wanted to have a rant about the horrible animal cruelty in these wet markets being the possible source of the virus, and promote veganism.”
Bryan Adams released his debut album in 1980 and has sold 65 million records worldwide. He rose to fame in Canada and the United States with his 1983 album ‘Cuts Like a Knife’ and turned into a global star with his 1984 album ‘Reckless’.
