Breaking his silence over Jyotiraditya Scindia's decision to quit Congress, Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that Scindia woould not get respect in BJP

New Delhi: Breaking his silence over Jyotiraditya Scindia’s decision to quit Congress, former party president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said that Scindia was worried about his political future and that’s why he abandoned his ideology and “went with RSS”.

The Wayanad MP further claimed that Jyotiraditya Scindia won’t get respect in the BJP because his ideology is entirely different from the saffron party.

“This is a fight of ideologies. On one side is Congress and on other side is BJP-RSS. I know Jyotiraditya Scindia’s ideology, he was with me in college, I know him well. He got worried about his political future, abandoned his ideology and went with RSS. But the reality is that he won’t get respect there. What he is saying and what is in his heart is different,” Rahul Gandhi told media persons in Delhi.

Responding to a question on the refusal of his party to send his core team members to Rajya Sabha, Rahul Gandhi said that he was not the Congress President and therefore, he was not making these decisions.

“I am not Congress President, I am not taking decisions on Rajya Sabha nominees. I am informing the youth of the country about the economy. Who is in my team, who is not in my team is irrelevant. Millions and millions of people in India are going to suffer like they have not suffered before,” said.

A day after he quit Congress, Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the BJP on Wednesday. 22 Madhya Pradesh Congress MLAs have also resigned from the state Assembly in support of Scindia reducing Kamal Nath government to minority in MP Assembly.
